The first touchdown scored at Veterans Memorial Stadium was on November 25, 1948 against Albany. Bulldog QB Irwin Mitchell threw a pass from the 45 yard line to Charley Harrell who hauled it in on the 8 yard line, then raced across for the score. Thomasville won that game 21-19.
